About the Role
We’re looking for a dependable, compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team serving the Lakeview and North Center neighborhoods. This role focuses primarily on weekday dog walking and in-home cat care visits.
If you enjoy staying active, working independently, and building meaningful relationships with pets and clients, this could be a great fit.
Core Responsibilities
- Midday dog walking (all sizes and breeds)
- In-home cat sitting visits
- Feeding, fresh water, and litter box care
- Providing enrichment, exercise, and affection
- Sending detailed updates and photos to clients
- Ensuring pets’ safety and well-being at all times
Ideal Candidate
- Reliability and punctuality
- A genuine love for animals
- Comfort working independently
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to walk multiple dogs in various weather conditions
- Experience is a plus, but not required — we provide paid training.
Helpful (but not required): dog handling experience, animal behavior knowledge, customer service background, or Fear Free certification.
Schedule
- Approximately 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Some flexibility within that window
- 15–25 hours per week
- Opportunity to increase visits and hours over time
What We Offer
- $18–$20 per hour + tips to start
- Estimated $1,000–$1,200 per month initially
- Earnings can grow with additional visits
