About the Role
Are you passionate about dogs, customer service, and creating a safe, fun environment for pets and people? 4 Paws Activity Center is looking for two Dog Daycamp Shift Leads to help oversee daily operations and lead our team during their shifts.
This is a hands-on position. The majority of your shift will be spent actively overseeing dog group play and enrichment while ensuring a safe, high-quality experience for our pet guests, their owners, and our team.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support Associates by assigning duties, providing training and coaching, and ensuring appropriate staffing and coverage.
- Actively supervise dog playgroups, monitor behavior, encourage positive interactions, and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe environment.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, security, and well-being of all pet guests, including administering medications as required.
- Set up and maintain play areas, including water bowls, beds, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary facility by promptly cleaning accidents, sanitizing equipment, cleaning enclosures, and maintaining play areas throughout the day.
- Transport pets to and from boarding areas as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support sales of 4 Paws programs and services.
- Manage reservations and computer systems and assist with cash handling and end-of-day drawer balancing.
- Monitor supplies and report maintenance or facility needs to Management.
- Assist with labor management, shift metrics, compliance, and overall facility operations.
- Help plan and execute special Doggy Daycamp events and enrichment activities.
- Follow all 4 Paws training protocols, procedures, mission, and philosophy.
- Complete onboarding training and Pack Pro Certification within 60 days of hire.
- Assist other Associates and perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking dependable, hands-on leaders who are comfortable working in a fast-paced pet care environment. The ideal candidates have strong communication and customer service skills, demonstrate sound judgment around dogs, and can confidently lead a team while maintaining a safe and positive environment.
Schedule
We are hiring for two Shift Lead positions:
Opening Shift Lead
- 4 shifts per week, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Works every other Saturday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Regular day off may vary based on business needs.
Closing Shift Lead
- 4 shifts per week, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Works every other Saturday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Regular day off may vary based on business needs.
