Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our pet care facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and has a passion for delivering excellent service while ensuring the safety and well-being of animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of facility operations
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor efficiency
- Lead by example and help train, coach, and develop team members
- Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Oversee pet care, including daycare and boarding services
- Support front desk operations and administrative tasks
- Utilize computer systems, scheduling tools, and social media platforms
- Track and manage KPIs (performance benchmarks) to meet business goals
- Assist with marketing efforts, including basic video content creation/editing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service and staff management
- Background in dog daycare, pet boarding, or animal handling preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with front desk operations and client interactions
- Sales-minded with the ability to drive revenue and client retention
- Comfortable using technology, including social media and video editing apps
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Passion for working with dogs and commitment to high-quality pet care
Schedule:
Our facility operates 7 days a week from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This role requires flexibility across morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. The ideal candidate will primarily work closing shifts (4 days per week) and at least one weekend day each week.
Compensation:
- $45,000 – $55,000 annually
