PurrFurred Pet Styling is a highly rated, family-owned grooming business serving Naperville, Aurora, and Warrenville since 2006. We run multiple mobile vans and three full-service salons. The role
- We’re hiring a Salon Manager to run daily operations at our Warrenville location.
- This is a hands-on leadership position with plenty of variety: people, pets, and the chance to make the salon run like clockwork.
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Tuesday–Saturday; arrive 8:10–8:15 AM (salon opens 8:30 AM); typical day ends by 5:00 PM (may end as early as 4:00 PM if duties are complete)
Core responsibilities
- Lead and motivate salon staff to deliver top-quality grooming and excellent client experiences
- Manage front-desk operations: greet clients, check pets in/out, schedule appointments, answer phones and emails, provide price quotes
- Oversee workflow—keep groomers and bathers on schedule and maintain service quality
- Resolve customer issues and mediate staff concerns professionally
- Maintain inventory and merchandising of salon and retail products; reorder as needed
- Ensure salon cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards
- Safely handle dogs of all breeds and sizes and assist groomers when necessary
Secondary responsibilities
- Support retail sales and merchandising initiatives
- Keep reception and retail areas clean and organized
- Lead small marketing or special projects as assigned
Who you are
- Experienced supervisor/manager with prior front-desk or reception experience (POS/scheduling familiarity a plus)
- Comfortable with animal handling; knowledge of dog behavior and grooming preferred
- Passionate about dogs and excellent customer service
- Organized, reliable, and calm under pressure; strong communicator and team leader
- While prior experience working as a groomer could be an advantage, you do not need prior grooming experience, as this is not a grooming position.
Compensation & benefits
- Hourly: $19–$22 (based on experience/performance) — monthly equivalent ≈ $3,300–$3,815
