About the Role:
As a Pet Co-ordinator, you'll be the primary caregiver responsible for managing and supervising dogs in our lodging area. Your focus will be on ensuring every dog is safe, happy, and comfortable during their stay. You'll also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lodging facilities, support playgroup activities (if trained), and assist with other responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Animal Care for pets boarding at our facility.
- Provide compassionate, loving, and calm care to all dogs
- Minimize stress and ensure safety in accordance with company procedures
- Handle dogs safely using proper techniques, including slip leads
- Give potty breaks (minimum 4 times daily), document each trip, and ensure dogs are well cared for
- Monitor and document feeding, activities, and special needs per dog profiles
- Maintain clean, dry, and comfortable living spaces with fresh water and bedding
- Be vigilant for signs of health concerns or unusual behavior and communicate with the team promptly
- Provide one on one enrichment activities for dogs
Playgroup
- Safely introduce dogs for off-leash play following established protocols
- Supervise playgroups, ensuring safety and stress reduction
- Engage dogs with leadership exercises and fun activities
- Communicate effectively with teammates about dog behaviors and concerns
Cleaning & Facility Maintenance
- Sanitize dog areas, shared spaces, and outdoor yards regularly
- Complete cleaning checklists and report any damages or supply issues
- Assist with laundry and the proper disposal of waste materials
Qualifications & Skills:
- Genuine passion for pets and their families
- Dog handling experience, including with large and small breeds preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable with physical activity, lifting 50+ lbs, and being on your feet for long periods
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Prior knowledge of dog behavior, grooming, or training is a plus
