Are you passionate about dogs and enjoy spending active time outdoors? Join the Fido Group as a Group Dog Walker! We're seeking dedicated individuals to help us create enriching and social experiences for our canine clients.
About the position:
- As a Group Dog Walker, you'll ensure the safety and enjoyment of up to three dogs at a time during our group walks. Most walks run about 30 minutes and cover a distance of 1-2 miles.
- You'll join our lead walker, bringing your enthusiasm and care to a supportive work environment.
- Our management team carefully conducts temperament assessments for all dogs, ensuring they are ready for group activities.
- We service Upper Northwest DC neighborhoods such as AU Park, Catherdral Heights, Chevy Chase, Cleveland Park, Palisades, Spring Valley, and Van Ness.
- This flexible part-time position has shifts available Monday through Friday, from about 10 am to 4 pm. Each day has morning and afternoon walks. You do not need to be available on a consistent basis and can select the shifts that you are interested in.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior professional or volunteer experience with dogs is preferred.
- A genuine interest in canine welfare and group dynamics is essential.
- Strong sense of awareness and ability to follow safety protocols
- A track record of effective time management and reliability
- Customer service experience is highly preferred.
- A driver’s license is beneficial, especially for those seeking advancement opportunities that include pet transport responsibilities.
- Greater consideration will be given to candidates with a desire to work long-term with the Fido Group for career growth opportunities.
What we offer:
- Compensation is $28 per group walk performed. Maximum earnings would be $84 per day if all three 30-minute group walks were performed.
- This is the most flexible dog walking position in the industry. You can select morning, afternoon, or both shifts according to your availability. A dedicated app makes selecting a shift easy and convenient.
