Daily Schedule & Pay
- Typical schedule: four 10‑hour days
- We start at California minimum wage, with appropriate overtime pay and performance bonuses based on daily van revenue.
- Career advancement and additional bonus opportunities are available
Responsibilities
At Bark & Mane, we handle the business so you can focus on the pets.
- Provide luxury, one‑on‑one grooming for dogs and cats (if trained) while working independently in our mobile grooming vans
- Receive full support from our concierge and fleet teams, who manage scheduling, routing, and van maintenance/cleaning
- Enjoy a manageable daily schedule that prioritizes safety, quality, and a calm grooming experience
- Maintain a clean, sanitary workspace throughout the day
Requirements
- No degree required — we’re looking for experienced groomers with a positive attitude and strong independent work skills
- 3+ years of grooming experience
- Ability to groom most standard breeds using safe, correct techniques
- Skilled in bathing, brushing, de‑shedding, nail trimming, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, full haircuts, and breed‑appropriate styling
- Clean driving record and comfort driving a grooming van (no special license needed)
- Ability to lift and safely handle pets up to 50–60 lbs
- Basic computer skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with senior, anxious, or special‑needs pets
- Cat grooming experience
- Mobile grooming experience (Hanvey, Wag’n Tails, etc.)
- Pet CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to troubleshoot minor van issues — training provided
