Job Title: General Manager — Full Time (40 hrs/week)
- The schedule is based on business needs. Most shifts will be scheduled from Monday to Saturday and can run up to 10 hours.
- Our general operating hours are 6am to 7pm most days.
- This is a senior leadership role, and you would work in harmony with owners and team leads.
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and exceptional pet care.
- Manage HR functions: hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance reviews, and coaching.
- Train and supervise staff in animal handling, enrichment programming, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Work the front desk as needed: client intake, scheduling, payments, phone inquiries, and registration verification.
- Monitor KPIs and operational benchmarks; implement improvements to efficiency, retention, and revenue.
- Coordinate with trainers and groomers; learn basic grooming and training services to effectively schedule and sell grooming and training packages.
- Handle client relations, escalations, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain records for vaccinations, evaluations, and boarding/daycare compliance.
- Ensure facility compliance with policies, including our evaluation procedures.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience managing a pet care facility or similar customer-facing business.
- Strong animal behavior knowledge and hands-on dog handling experience.
- Proven front desk/customer service experience and sales aptitude.
- Competent with Google Docs, spreadsheets, and tracking KPIs.
- Leadership and staff management skills: hiring, training, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with a fast-paced, team environment.
- Positive communicator who can teach staff best practices and represent the brand to clients.
- Comfortable learning and promoting grooming and training offerings.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $18–$20/hr; (depending on experience)
- Monthly range: $3,120–$3,500 to start.
