About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Facility Manager to take full ownership of our physical facility. This role combines day-to-day maintenance responsibilities with oversight of larger construction and improvement projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing repairs independently while also managing contractors for more complex work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the facility
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations across building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues and complete hands-on repair work as needed
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise facility upgrades and improvement projects
- Manage external contractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies
- Establish and follow preventative maintenance schedules
Project Leadership
A major component of this role will involve supporting upcoming expansion projects, including the construction of a new pool and a building surrounding it. The Facility Manager will:
- Oversee and coordinate contractors and vendors throughout the build process
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and workmanship
- Contribute hands-on to select installation and finishing tasks where appropriate
- Ensure all work aligns with long-term maintenance and operational needs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facility management, construction, or skilled trades
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
- Ability to independently perform repairs and installations
- Experience supervising contractors and managing projects
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
Schedule
- Work hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
