Role Snapshot
- Hours: 20-30 hours per week
- Clients: Multiple bookkeeping clients, with portfolio size based on hours and experience
- Meetings: Some monthly and quarterly client meetings via Google Meet
- Tools: QuickBooks Online, Gusto, ADP, Pumble, Go High Level CRM, Google Workspace, and Google Meet
What You’ll Own
- Month-end bookkeeping, including categorization, bank and credit card reconciliations, cleanup, and review of financial activity
- Spotting issues such as duplicates, miscategorizations, unclear deposits, and unusual activity
- Payroll support through systems such as Gusto and ADP
- Sales tax support and coordination, as applicable
- Client reporting support, including helping translate financials into clear takeaways
- Client communication through meetings, email, and team systems
- Accurate notes, task updates, and documentation in our internal systems
Must-Haves
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience
- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Comfort working with multiple clients, projects, or deadlines
- Working knowledge of the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
- Ability to communicate clearly and kindly with clients
- Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn our systems, standards, and client care approach
Nice-to-Haves
- QuickBooks Pro Advisor Level I Certification
- Payroll experience with Gusto and/or ADP
- Sales tax experience
- Experience in a bookkeeping firm or multi-client environment
- Comfort explaining reports in simple, non-technical language
- Experience with pet care businesses or service-based businesses
