Tiburon Dog Butler is a trusted dog concierge service serving Marin County. We are seeking a responsible, professional, and enthusiastic Dog Walker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a genuine love of dogs, strong dog handling skills, and the ability to provide safe, joyful, and stimulating hikes, and reliable care. This role involves group trail hikes — all with an emphasis on safety, trust, and client communication.

Responsibilities

Walk dogs in a safe and controlled manner, ensuring they receive both exercise and enrichment.
Monitor behavior, energy levels, and health cues, promptly reporting any concerns to the client and/or manager.
Provide consistent, positive leash handling and reinforce good manners on walks.
Clean up after dogs and maintain safe, professional standards at all times.
Safely drive the company vehicle for pickups/drop-offs and group trail adventures.
Handle dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments with confidence and care.

Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in dog handling, training, or pet care required.
Comfortable with physical activity, including long hikes on hilly, uneven terrain.
Strong awareness of dog body language and safe best practices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills to build trust with clients.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented — clients depend on us to show up every time on time.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
A background in veterinary or animal care is a plus, but not required.
A passion for dogs and the outdoors is essential.
Comfortable driving larger vehicles, such as a passenger van.

Schedule

We are currently offering both part-time and full-time positions. Both roles would require a staff member to be available MON-FRI.

F/T is around 7am-3:30/4 pm Monday to Friday

P/T is 9:30 am -3:30/4 pm Monday to Friday
