Our Front Desk Associate position is an exciting opportunity for a personable, professional, and highly motivated candidate who loves interacting with dogs and dog owners.
As a Front Desk Associate working within our dog training facility and retail store, you will be the primary point of contact for clients and their dogs, creating a welcoming, friendly environment. You will learn about our retail products and how to educate customers. Once you understand our retail products, you will learn about our dog training and boarding services. We are a fast-growing company, expanding into multiple locations across Long Island.
This role will require some level of weekend availability. Our next staff member must have some availability for closing shifts (9/930pm). Shift times include:
- 8am-4pm and 3pm-9pm: Monday through Thursday
- 9am-3pm and 3pm-7:30pm: Friday
- 8am-6pm and 8am-2pm: Saturday/Sunday
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Closing up the front desk/retail space. Closing shifts are from 9pm/930pm.
- Greeting clients
- Answering phones
- Operating the register
- Packing and shipping orders
- Keeping the retail area neat and clean
- Stocking merchandise
- Scheduling all training appointments, including group classes, boarding, board and train, and private training
- Listening and learning about our client’s dogs and their goals.
- Educating our clients on our products, services, and training philosophy.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in high-paced environments with the ability to multitask. (i.e. hair salons, bartenders, baristas, and servers) preferred

- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and apply defined policies and procedures
- Must have basic math and money-handling skills
- Must love meeting new people and dogs
Opportunities to grow within the company:
Front Desk Associates, who are interested in growing within our company, will be able to move into an upper management position. Associates interested in becoming a Dog Nutrition Specialist can enroll in online canine nutrition certification courses, which can be taken in your personal time.
