Giselle Dessert
About
My name is Giselle Dessert, and I am currently a student in Washington, DC attending Howard University, where I am majoring in Human Development. I am passionate about working with others, especially in environments where I can support growth, learning, and overall well-being.
I have strong communication and organizational skills, which I developed through my experience working in customer service at a restaurant. In that fast-paced environment, I learned how to efficiently assist customers, stay organized under pressure, and work collaboratively with a team.
In addition, I have hands-on experience working with children through my role at an afterschool program and summer camp. In this position, I help students with homework, lead engaging activities, and ensure a safe and supportive environment. This experience has strengthened my patience, leadership, and ability to connect with others.
I was also very involved in sports during high school, which helped me develop discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. I continue to stay active and enjoy working out, which reflects my commitment to maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
I am also fluent in English and Haitian Creole, and I have an intermediate level of French. My ability to communicate across different languages allows me to connect with a diverse range of people.
Overall, I am a dedicated, reliable, and motivated individual who is always eager to grow, take on new challenges, and contribute positively to any team or environment I am a part of.
