Are you a responsible, animal-loving person—especially a cat lover? Jan’s Pet Sitting, a trusted, award-winning local business since 1997, is hiring immediately for a part-time Pet Sitter.

This position is 90% cat care and includes occasional dog walking or care for other small pets. If you enjoy quiet, independent work and bonding with animals, this is for you.

Schedule Required:

You must be available ideally five days a week, but a minimum of three days a week, ideally Wednesday–Sunday or Saturday–Wednesday.

Holiday Availability is Non-Negotiable:

You must be available to work:

Thanksgiving week (especially Thanksgiving weekend)
Christmas week, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day

Holiday visits pay time-and-a-half, plus tips!

Responsibilities:

Visit client homes to feed, medicate (if needed), and care for cats and other pets
Clean litter boxes, provide enrichment, and follow detailed care instructions
Communicate with clients and team clearly and reliably
Ensure pets and homes are safe, clean, and secure
For dogs, provide a safe and positive walking environment
Timely communication with staff via phone/text/email and photographs
Good time management skills to ensure on-time arrivals for assigned visits.
Possess basic computer skills
Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch

What You Need:

Love and understanding of both cats and dogs, and their behavior
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
Willingness to work mornings, evenings, and holidays as needed
Background check required
