Weekend Dog Nanny Position at Privileged Paws
Privileged Paws, North Dallas's premier dog walking and pet-sitting service since 2015, is seeking a dedicated Weekend Dog Nanny. With over 600 happy clients, we’re known for providing exceptional pet care that’s professional and personalized. This weekend Dog Nanny is a particular type of dog walker / pet sitter. In this role, your time will be dedicated to one very special Golden Retreiver Puppy.
Position Details:
- Salary: $18 to $20 per hour, with opportunities for overtime through additional pet sitting and overnight care services.
- Monthly Earnings: Start earning $600 to $700 before gratuities, bonuses, and other earning opportunities.
- Schedule: Saturday from 10am to 4pm, alternating Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Additional work opportunities are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Well-being: Ensure the puppy’s health and happiness with attentive care.
- Dog Walking: Engage in 30-40 minute walks with 10-15 minute breaks. Lots of tennis ball games are included!
- Enrichment Activities: Keep the puppy mentally stimulated with activities and games.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe "dog area."
- Rest Periods: Facilitate naps using cooling pads and toys for comfort.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare meals, provide fresh water, and clean bowls/utensils daily.
- Grooming Activities: Light brushing, dental care, and special paw treatments.
- Affectionate Interaction: Enjoy plenty of petting and playtime.
Regular schedule:
- No day is identical. Some level of flexibility is required based on the weather and the puppy's needs.
- 10am-12:30pm is the first active period with walks and enrichment.
- 12:30pm-1:30pm is a nap with access to toys, acting as a lunch break for staff.
- 1:30pm-3:30pm is the second active period with more walks and enrichment.
- 3:30-4pm is a meal, fur brushing, tooth brushing, and a moisturizing treatment for his paws.
