We are currently hiring in Central Denver. Updog services Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, Congress Park, Downtown, Hilltop, Highlands, Highland Park, LoDo, LoHi, Park Hill, Washington Park, and other nearby communities.
For the Hilltop role, we would prefer a candidate who also has a strong understanding of customer service, as, at some points, this can be a client-facing role.

Job Summary:
- This position requires availability to work a consistent schedule each day, Monday through Friday.
- New hires typically start at 10 to 15 hours per week, but hours can be added based on client demand and employee performance. It is rare to work more than 20 hours per week (normal walking hours fall between 10 am and 3 pm, Monday through Friday).
- We provide all of our dog walkers with a small coverage area within our service area boundary to make travel time between walks as short and efficient as possible. We do not transport dogs. All dogs are met at their homes and walked within the surrounding area. We do not group dogs from different families together, so walkers do not have to control more than two dogs at a time.
- All new hires are W-2 employees covered under our business insurance, bonding, and worker's compensation insurance.
- This route will have some larger dogs who can be leash-reactive with other dogs on this route. Staff must remain attentive and follow company safety protocols. Every dog is screened before joining our pack. We do not accept human-aggressive dogs.
- Each client is required to schedule a minimum of three days per week. New hires will operate a schedule consisting of the same dogs continuously.
- This can be a physically demanding job. It requires the ability to walk at a brisk pace for multiple hours a day and the ability to control dogs of all sizes in a variety of weather conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- You must be available each day, Monday through Friday, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a consistent schedule. The schedule may vary slightly daily but will be consistent week to week.
- Driving to and from client's appointments on a set schedule.
- Walking dogs for 15, 30, and 45 minutes at a time.
- Paying close attention to and following directions from clients and management.
- Regularly communicating with clients, management throughout our hours of operation.
- Regular use and interaction with our dog walking software and app.
Compensation:
$20 - $24 / hour (estimated hourly wage)
$800 - $1000 / monthly (depending on services performed, client demand and availability) - Starting employees are compensated at the rate of $10 (15 min), $15 (30 min), and $20 (45 min) per completed walk.
- When calculating an hourly rate, we add 15 minutes of drive time to each completed walk. However, almost all schedules allow for less time between appointments. Thus, the estimated hourly wage is variable. The more efficient your time between walks, the higher the hourly rate will be.
- Clients may provide gratuity based on performance.
- Quarterly bonuses are provided based on average daily work volume and tenure.
- Paid training, including CPR/First Aid certification.
- Parking reimbursements are provided as needed.
The position will pay approx. $800 for the month but can grow based on availability, performance, and client demand.The ideal candidate:- This job is highly rewarding if you are passionate about dogs. Candidates should have a natural affinity for dogs.
