Position:
- Pet Care Specialist with a strong emphasis on dog walking.
- Dog Walking Schedule: Monday through Friday, generally from 7:30am to 3:00pm. Please note that your schedule would depend on your availability, performance, and client demand. No two weeks are ever alike in the pet care industry.
- You may have dog-walking opportunities until about 5:30 p.m. We believe the next dog walker will work 25 to 30 hours per week, but this role is not designed to exceed 30 hours per week.
- This next role will be in Dallas, but we also service Bluffview, Highland Park, Knox-Henderson, Melshire Estates, Midway Hollow, Northwood Hills, Oak Lawn, Park Cities, Preston Hollow, Prestonwood, Russwood Acres, Univeristy Park and Uptown.
Compensation:
$18 - $20 / hour (the position will start from $18-$20 per hour before, depending upon experience plus bonuses, 100% client gratuity, and future performance reviews)
$1800 - $2400 / month (earnings will be dependent on your availability, performance, and client demand)
- Mileage reimbursement (we design routes to limit driving to 10 minutes or less between clients whenever possible).
- Increased pay for major holiday pet visits
- Candidate and client referral bonuses.
- Paid training, including Pet CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Overnight care is performed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and is compensated at the rate of $88 per night.
The responsibilities:
- Create a safe and positive walking environment for our clients' dogs.
- Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences.
- Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats.
- Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch.
- Communicate with clients via phone/app and photographs.
- Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player.
- Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned visits.
The ideal candidate:
- Former Wag and Rover walkers will appreciate the support Privileged Paws provides.
- An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate who can provide our client's dogs and cats with the highest quality visits possible.
- The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management.
- Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude with a desire to learn is just as important.
- The candidate should enjoy an active work environment, walking independently and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
- Candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability are given special consideration.

- Many members of our staff were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
