Job Details — Front Desk Receptionist
- Position: Receptionist (customer-facing, front of house)
- Hours: 30–35 hours per week
- We operate seven days per week, including holidays.
- Shifts: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (examples: 6:30 AM–1:00 PM or 12:00/1:00 PM–7:00 PM)
- Shift length: 6–7 hour shifts; new team members will support and learn from our lead receptionist
Core responsibilities
- Greet guests and check pets in/out; provide exceptional customer service
- Schedule boarding, grooming, and daycare reservations
- Process payments and manage front-desk transactions
- Maintain front-of-house cleanliness and presentation
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members; escalate as needed
- Support daily operations to ensure a safe, calm environment for guests
Ideal Candidate
- We’re seeking a team-oriented receptionist who can also work independently.
- Staff will need to multitask and have amazing attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and front-desk experience
- Familiarity with pet boarding and basic animal behavior knowledge is preferred
- Sales aptitude and comfort handling reservations/payments
- Comfortable using Google Docs and basic computer systems
- Excellent verbal communication and attention to detail
- Reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow facility protocols
- Additional notes: A valid driver’s license and consistent access to a safe, insured vehicle are preferred. Candidates must be able to pass any required background checks.
Compensation
- Starting pay: $15.00 per hour (commensurate with experience; monthly pay depends on hours worked)
