About Us:
At Lucky Dog Pet Resort, our goal is to meet every pet’s individual needs while consistently providing quality care in a safe, fun, and enriching environment. Our 2-acre resort is designed to give dogs the best experience possible, featuring indoor-outdoor, temperature-controlled runs and spacious outdoor yards with artificial turf, shaded canopies, and splash pools for hot days.
We offer a wide range of services, including daycare packages with extended hours, one-on-one care, and customized playgroups to support healthy social interaction. For dogs that prefer solo time, we provide dedicated exercise yards. We’re proud to be the only facility on the Central Coast with a custom dog pool!
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Resort Manager to lead daily operations and oversee our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys working with dogs, and has strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- We’re looking for a growth-focused leader who is passionate about developing their team and fostering a strong growth mindset, especially when it comes to identifying and advancing future leaders from within.
- Oversee daily resort operations and ensure top-tier pet care
- Supervise staff and foster a positive team culture
- Provide hands-on support with dog handling and care
- Track KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Deliver excellent customer service and build client relationships
- Manage scheduling, problem-solving, and daily operations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in staff management and leadership
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and dog handling
- Background in pet boarding/daycare preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with tools like Google Docs
- Sales mindset and ability to meet performance goals
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Schedule:
- The schedule for this position will include three shifts, 8 am to 5 pm, with flexible hours and days, and two 7:30 am to 6 pm shifts that need to be scheduled hands-on with dogs and daily supervisor duties
