At The Bark Yard, we are a premier dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility dedicated to providing a fear-free, force-free environment that prioritizes the happiness and well-being of every dog in our care.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Runner/Front Desk to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Dog Intake & Coordination

Greet clients and safely transport dogs to cabins
Move dogs to and from playgroups during morning rotations
Confidently handle dogs of all sizes on leash

Observation & Care

Monitor dogs for stress or unusual behavior
Update notes on arrivals, belongings, and special instructions

Front Desk & Customer Service

Deliver a welcoming, professional experience for pet parents
Assist with check-ins, questions, and daily updates
Ensure belongings are properly labeled and stored

Cleaning & Support

Perform light cleaning and maintain safe, clear walkways
Restock supplies and assist with daily tasks

Team Collaboration

Communicate effectively with kennel and daycare staff
Support team during high-volume drop-off periods

Qualifications

Passion for working with dogs in a positive, force-free environment
Ability to stay active (walking/jogging, lifting up to 50 lbs)
Strong attention to detail and observation skills
Excellent customer service and communication
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Experience is a plus, but not required—we will train the right candidate.

Work Environment

Fast-paced, high-energy shifts with constant movement
Outdoor work in all weather conditions
Lively setting with barking and active dogs

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7 am to 1/3 pm (Depending on staffing needs)

Benefits

$17 to $18 per hour to start (Depending on experience)
$1700 to $2520 per month
