Inn The Doghouse is an Award winning Dog and Cat Daycare, Boarding and Grooming resorts, and this person will be responsible for the operations of our Mentor location. This person inspires teams, drives growth and profitability, provides exceptional customer service, and ensures Inn The Doghouse continues to set the standard in the pet care industry.
The Role:
As our General Manager, you will:
- Be a business leader, inspired to drive a new location into a thriving, independent business
- Drive operational excellence and profitability across Daycare, Boarding, Enrichment, and Pet Spa
- Assists in the building of a team while coaching and empowering them to succeed
- Strives for the best customer service experiences with our clients while improving the lives of the pets in our care
- Ensure adherence and knowledge of all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Take ownership of financial performance, KPIs, and strategic growth initiatives
- Represent Inn The Doghouse in the community and the pet care industry
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of leadership in the Pet Care Industry, with at least 5+ years as a General Manager of one or more facilities
- Proven track record in multi-service operations
- A natural leader and coach who builds high-performing, accountable teams
- Passion for dogs, people, and best-in-class care
- Flexibility to be present during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Additional Requirements:
- High school degree required. College degree preferred
- Physical demands include being able to move throughout the facility and on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the day. The Ability to move 50lbs for distances of up to 10 feet and 25lbs for distances of up to 50 feet.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Point of Sale software.
- The ability to perform basic math, understand finances, and cost management.
- Comfortable working in front of the house with clients, on the daycare floor, and in enclosures with dogs and cats.
- Valid Driver’s License, with current insurance that includes comprehensive collision coverage, and a vehicle you are willing to transport a pet during an emergency.
