We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Manager to lead the operations of our vibrant dog daycare and boarding facility. This role is perfect for someone passionate about animal care, exceptional client service, strong team leadership, and efficient business operations. The Manager will oversee all departments, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive, hands-on leadership across all departments, including daycare, boarding, front desk, and enrichment teams.
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations to maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all dogs in our care.
- Ensure adherence to all animal care, health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance tracking, and payroll preparation.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate employees; conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
- Oversee client relations, ensuring prompt attention to inquiries, concerns, and special requests while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Track business performance, monitor key metrics, and assist ownership with financial reporting, sales, and occupancy goals.
- Coordinate facility maintenance, supply management, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to animal care and business operations.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve client retention, expand enrichment programs, and grow revenue streams.
Schedule:
Full-time 40 - 45 hours per week
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of management experience, preferably in pet care, hospitality, or a service-focused industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to superior client service.
- Solid grasp of business operations, including scheduling, inventory, and financial oversight.
- Passion for animals, with knowledge of canine behavior, health, and safety needs (pet care or veterinary experience is a plus).
- Calm and effective problem-solving skills, especially in fast-paced or emergency situations.
- Proficiency with scheduling, POS, and client management software systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working hands-on with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
