Job Requirements: Group Dog Walker
- We are currently seeking a Group Dog Walker to join our passionate team.
- This role involves more than just walking dogs; it requires a dedication to their safety, health, and joy.
- The position includes walking groups of two to four dogs, monitoring their behavior, and ensuring their well-being.
- Responsibilities also include basic grooming (as needed), training reinforcement, and effective communication with pet owners.
- Provide meals, medication, and fresh water upon request.
- Staff must have the ability to travel our service area in/near Brooklyn safely and efficiently. Most staff use bicycles or scooters.
Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate is an animal lover with experience in pet care.
- Previous experience in animal handling is preferred, along with knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques.
- Strong communication skills are essential to effectively interact with pet owners.
- Candidates must be physically fit to handle walking long distances and managing multiple dogs of varying sizes.
- Maintaining a safe walking environment is critical.
- While not mandatory, certification in pet first aid or CPR is a plus.
- We appreciate staff who can think quickly and learn from our leaders.
Compensation:
- We offer a competitive rate of $20 per hour to start.
